Jeremy Burgess

The company was established by Jeremy Burgess in 2017 after spending over 35 years in industry particularly in the international farm machinery sector. Jeremy takes a very practical approach to business, he served an apprenticeship with a large farm machinery dealership in Yorkshire before completing engineering degree at Silsoe College, Cranfield University. Jeremy is a chartered engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and has several patents to his name.

Aside from engineering, Jeremy’s career experience spans a wide range of disciplines and he spent 27 years with a major global tractor and farm machinery manufacturer. During this time he held positions in product design and development, manufacturing management, international technical support, global sales and marketing and was responsible for licensee operations overseeing the commercial and manufacturing relationships with licensee manufacturing partners around the world. He went on to head up the Africa and Middle East division before being appointed as Group Managing Director of a global farm machinery after-market supplier with operations in 19 countries.

Business growth

Now working with businesses in the UK and beyond, Jeremy uses his experience to advise companies in their strategic direction and development of business plans and proposals. He has operated globally in a wide range of business models including national distributors, joint ventures, local subsidiaries, franchises, licensees and OEM supply agreements. A strong communicator and relationship builder Jeremy has served on the board of numerous companies in several countries including joint ventures with Government departments.

Jeremy M Burgess Ltd has experience in evaluation of companies pre-acquisition, assessing synergies, subsequent integration and management of multiple brands. Key services cover development of business strategies including back to basics sector analysis in order to identify key elements of business direction. Along with his own direct experience Jeremy draws on a network of specialists where a wider range of skills and knowledge are required.
